Trinity Rose Oberhasli Dairy Goats

This beautiful goat milk farm owned by Arden Ward, has a very small herd and offers a limited number of Herd Shares for access to clean whole goats milk. When available, they also offer raw goat milk kefir, goat cheese and goat milk cream.

Located in Murfreesboro, TN, Trinity Rose Oberhasli Dairy is very close to the I-24 Salem Hwy exit (about 2 miles from it).

The goats on this farm are always grazed on pasture that has never been treated with chemicals. They have full access to a nice grass hay as well as alfalfa hay.

When on the milk stand they are fed a high quality grain concentrate that is low in sugars & carbohydrates which is great because this kind of feed prevents a bad condition in goats called acidosis. This feed keeps the goats and their milk healthy and pristine.

This farm raises only the Oberhasli breed of goats.

Arden says:

“When I first started looking for dairy goats almost 14 years ago, I had done my research. I knew that I wanted a dairy goat and I learned that the Oberhasli temperament was quite docile, easy to get along with, and they had a very delicate flavor of milk. Not to mention their stunning appearance with the red bay coat and black markings that are the hallmark of the Oberhasli breed.”

Arden usually has goat milk available from March through December. She does not not milk during the months of December to February, in order to allow the goats time to rest during pregnancy.

Of utmost importance to Arden is quality raw goat milk (or cheese, cream, kefir) and this only comes from HEALTHY & HAPPY goats. If any goat is ever sick or in need of medications they are pulled from milk production and their milk is dumped.

Parasites are the biggest challenge with goats and Arden works hard to stay on top of this, and sometimes it is necessary to treat the goats.

Arden can also offer goat cheese, raw goats milk cream and raw goats milk kefir.

The cost is $50 to join the herd share, non-refundable, and then $50 per month for “labor” of one gallon per week of PREMIUM raw goat milk. If you’d like 2 gallons per week, then it is $100 per month. You pay the full monthly amount on the first of each month, then come pick up your own milk weekly.

Currently Arden only offers pick up on the farm. However, she will potentially soon be delivering milk to the Saturday Farmers Market on the Square in Murfreesboro.
