A Type of Milk That’s Soothing to Baby’s Eczema
Hi there,
When your little baby has eczema it can be very distressing. The red itchy patches on the soft skin can really ruin a mom’s day.
Happily though, there is a type of milk that can reduce skin inflammation and soothe the pain of eczema. It’s goat milk. And goat milk soap is very moisturizing for the skin.
Why? Well mainly it’s due to the fat molecule content in the cream. It is naturally homogenized, meaning the fat molecules stay dispersed throughout the milk and do not easily separate out. This fat is essential to the moisturizing properties of the soap. The cream in goat milk also has an anti-inflammatory effect. This is likely why it really works on eczema.
Goat milk is also good for skin because it’s high in naturally occurring vitamins and minerals and goat milk soap contains vitamin A, C, E, several B vitamins, amino acids and natural enzymes.
Harmony Lane Goats is a new goat milk farm that offers beautiful, handcrafted goat milk soap as well a nutritious raw goat milk through a herd share program.
Mark and Julie David, the owners of Harmony Lane Goats, have 60 ADGA (American Dairy Goat Association) registered dairy goats; Alpines, Saanens, Toggenburgs, and LaManchas.
Situated on 44 acres east of Nashville, their farm has array of abundant foliage that the goats love to browse on, including blackberry fence rows in the back of the property, they drink from the natural spring and this helps to produce better milk and an all around healthier goat.
Check out their page on my Tennesseans For Raw Milk website. Here is the link to it https://tennesseansforrawmilk.com/harmony-lane-goats/.
They offer raw goat milk cheeses, too. They would like to try to start delivering to major metropolitan areas across TN, like Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga.
